Custom Software Development on .NET, Next.js and Azure

Web applications, customer portals, internal tools and integrations built around the way your business works. We build on .NET and Next.js, deploy to your own Azure subscription or servers, and hand over the code and documentation.

What we build

Business applications and portals

Order, booking, service and approval systems, and portals where your customers or suppliers sign in to their own accounts. Built around your process, rather than bending the process to fit a package.

Internal tools and dashboards

The spreadsheets and email chains a team depends on, turned into an application with roles, an audit trail and reports that everyone reads from the same data.

Integrations and APIs

Sign-in with Microsoft Entra ID, data from Microsoft 365, and documented APIs that connect the systems you already run instead of retyping data between them.

Upgrading older .NET applications

Moving applications from .NET Framework or out-of-support .NET releases to a current one, with tests written first around the behaviour that must not change.

AI inside your software

Search over your documents, summaries, drafts and data extraction, added to the screens people already use. See custom AI solutions.

Websites

Company websites and landing pages, from ₹50,000 plus GST. See website development.

Built for Indian business rules

Software for an Indian business has to follow Indian rules, and they are cheaper to build in at the start than to retrofit. We build to the specification you and your chartered accountant set; we do not give tax or legal advice.

  • GST-ready invoices with the particulars Rule 46 of the CGST Rules, 2017 asks for, including: your name, address and GSTIN, and your customer’s (with their GSTIN if they are registered); a consecutive serial number unique for the financial year; the date; a description and the HSN code (businesses with turnover up to ₹5 crore may leave the HSN code off invoices to unregistered buyers); the taxable value; the rate and amount of each tax; and, for inter-State supplies, the place of supply with the name of the State. The CGST and SGST or IGST split is worked out for you, as in our free GST invoice generator (opens in a new tab).
  • A UPI QR code on the invoice that the customer can scan to pay the exact amount.
  • E-invoicing: a registered business whose aggregate turnover in any preceding financial year from 2017-18 onwards exceeds ₹5 crore must report its invoices, credit notes and debit notes for B2B supplies and exports to an Invoice Registration Portal (IRP) to get an Invoice Reference Number (IRN), with some categories exempt. Since 1 April 2025, businesses with an aggregate annual turnover of ₹10 crore or more cannot report such a document to the IRP more than 30 days after its date. Where e-invoicing applies, the software has to send the data the portal expects and keep the IRN it returns; your chartered accountant confirms what applies to you.
  • Personal data: the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 were notified on 13 November 2025 and apply in phases. Most obligations on businesses, including notices, consent, security safeguards, breach intimation and people’s rights over their data, apply from May 2027; separate rules for consent managers apply from November 2026. We design for these obligations from the start.

We use a small set of mainstream tools that we know well, and our own code shows each of them in use.

.NET 8 and .NET 9 support ends on 10 November 2026

Microsoft ends support for .NET 8 and .NET 9 on 10 November 2026. After that date it provides no more servicing updates, security fixes or technical support for them, so applications still running on either should move. Azure Functions apps built on the in-process model are affected on the same day: Microsoft ends support for that model then too, and they need to move to the isolated worker model.

The usual destination is .NET 10, released on 11 November 2025, which is Microsoft’s current long-term support release and is supported until 14 November 2028. .NET 11, planned for November 2026, is a standard-term release with 24 months of support. This is how we approach the upgrade:

  1. Take stock

We list the projects, packages and hosting the application depends on, and note anything that blocks an upgrade.

  2. Add tests where they are missing

Before changing anything, we cover the behaviour that matters to you with tests, so the upgrade can be checked rather than hoped for.

  3. Upgrade in a branch

We move the code and its packages to the new release, fix what breaks and run the tests until they pass.

  4. Run side by side, then switch

The upgraded version runs in a test environment alongside the current one until you are satisfied, and then replaces it.

How we work and what it costs

  1. Discovery call

We look at what the software must do, who will use it and what it has to connect to. To begin, book a free discovery call (opens in a new tab).

  2. Written scope and quote

We set out the features, the business rules, how you will accept the work, the timeline and the price in a statement of work before the build starts.

  3. Build in small steps

You see working software early and regularly on a test environment, rather than all at once at the end, so you can change course before much has been built.

  4. Test and deploy

Automated tests and checks run on every change. We deploy to your Azure subscription or your own servers, with tracing switched on so problems can be found quickly.

  5. Hand over and support

You receive the code, the documentation and a handover session. Fixes and changes after launch are handled in our support hours, Monday to Friday, 9 AM–6 PM IST, paid for as needed or through a monthly retainer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who owns the software you build for us?

Your statement of work sets out, before work starts, the intellectual property that transfers to you. The transfer completes once all invoices are paid, as section 14 of our Terms of Service explains.

Can you work on our existing application?

Yes. We read the code and whatever tests it already has, agree priorities with you, and add tests before we change any behaviour that matters.

Which technologies do you use?

.NET and ASP.NET Core for back ends; Next.js, React and TypeScript for web front ends; SQL Server, Azure SQL or PostgreSQL for data; and Microsoft Entra ID for sign-in.

Can the software run on our own servers instead of Azure?

Yes. We can deploy with Docker to your own Linux servers instead of Azure; our open-source web analytics engine, for example, is self-hosted that way with Docker Compose on Ubuntu.

Will the software be GST-compliant?

We build GST-ready software to the rules you and your chartered accountant set. Whether your business is compliant also depends on your GST registration and filings, which stay with you and your accountant.

How do you handle personal data?

We collect only what the software needs, restrict who can see it and plan how it is deleted. We design the software for India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act and Rules and, if it will hold personal data from the EU, for the GDPR too.

What happens after the software goes live?

We fix problems and make changes as needed or on a monthly retainer, Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM IST, and we reply within one business day.

Can we meet your team in person?

In and around Jodhpur, yes: we come to your premises on request. If you are elsewhere in India or abroad, we work together remotely.

How much does custom software cost?

Consulting starts at ₹2,500 (US$40) an hour and monthly retainers at ₹2,00,000 (US$4,000); pilots and fixed-scope projects are quoted per statement of work after a free discovery call.
