Website & Web App Development

Company websites from ₹50,000 plus GST for an agreed scope, built to load quickly on phones, be accessible and be easy for search engines to read. Web applications are quoted to your requirements.

What we build

Company websites

The site people check before they contact you: what you offer, the work you have done, where you operate and how to reach you. Structured so that new pages can be added as the business grows.

Landing pages

A single page for a product launch, an event or a campaign, built around one clear action for the visitor.

Multilingual websites

Sites in more than one language, each language at its own address so search engines can show people the right one. Our own product site, dewiride.ai (opens in a new tab), is published in several languages, including Hindi and right-to-left Arabic.

Online catalogues and shops

Product catalogues and online stores, quoted to your products, payment methods and delivery. We run our own store, shop.dewiride.com (opens in a new tab), on WordPress and WooCommerce.

Redesigns

A new site in place of an old one, keeping what already works. Page addresses stay the same where they can, and the rest redirect permanently, so existing links and bookmarks still land somewhere useful.

Web applications

When a site needs sign-in, dashboards or workflows of its own, it is a web application rather than a website. We build those too; see custom software development.

How we build websites

These are the standards we build every website to. Where this site already meets one, we say so.

  • Fast on phones: we build for the levels Google calls “good” in its Core Web Vitals, which at least three in four page loads should meet. That means the main content visible within 2.5 seconds, a response to a tap within 200 milliseconds, and little unexpected movement of content on the screen (a layout shift score of 0.1 or less). Google says these are used by its ranking systems but do not guarantee a top position.
  • Accessible: we aim for level AA of WCAG 2.2, the W3C’s accessibility standard (last updated in December 2024), and check with automated tests and by using the site with a keyboard alone.
  • Readable by search engines: a clear title and description on every page, one address per page, a sitemap, structured data that matches what the page says, and real “page not found” responses for pages that do not exist, as on this site.
  • Private by default: analytics load only after the visitor agrees to them, as on this site.
  • Secure: HTTPS on every page, with security headers set by the server, as on this site.
  • Easy to hand over: the source code in a repository you can access, with notes on how the site is built and deployed.

Before work starts
A written quote with the scope and price

GST is added to Indian invoices. Hourly rates for other work are on our pricing page.

The price follows the work. It moves with the number of pages and page layouts, who writes and translates the content, how many languages the site needs, forms and connections to your other systems, and whether the site takes payments or runs a shop.

The written quote lists the pages, features, timeline and price before any work starts, so you know what you are buying.

How a website project runs

  1. Discovery call

We talk about your business, who the site is for and what it has to do for you. To begin, book a free discovery call (opens in a new tab).

  2. Written quote

Pages, features, languages, timeline and price, in writing. Nothing starts until you have agreed to it.

  3. Structure, design and content

We agree the structure and the look of the main pages with you first, then build the rest of the site around them and your content.

  4. Build and test

We test the site on phone and desktop screens, with a keyboard alone and for loading speed, and you review it at a preview address before it goes live.

  5. Launch

We connect your domain and switch on HTTPS, then help you set up Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools and submit the sitemap, so you can see how people find you in search results.

  6. Handover and changes

You receive the code and the notes on how the site is put together. Changes after launch are handled as agreed in your quote, Monday to Friday, 9 AM–6 PM IST, and we reply within one business day.

Sites we build and run

These are our own websites. Each one is live, and the open-source ones publish their code.

We also publish step-by-step guides on our developer blog, for example deploying a Next.js site on an Ubuntu server (opens in a new tab) and running WordPress with Docker (opens in a new tab).

A website can start simple and grow. If customers keep asking the same questions, a chat assistant can answer them from your own pages and documents; see AI chatbot development. For search or document processing over your own content, see custom AI solutions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a website cost?

Company websites start at ₹50,000 plus GST for an agreed scope. The written quote fixes the pages, features and price before work starts.

What changes the price of a website?

The number of pages and layouts, who writes and translates the content, how many languages you need, forms and connections to your other systems, and whether the site takes payments or runs a shop.

How long does a website take to build?

It depends on the scope and on how quickly content and feedback arrive, so the timeline is agreed in the written quote before work starts.

Who owns the website once it is built?

What transfers to you is agreed in the quote or statement of work before work starts, and the transfer completes once every invoice is paid, as section 14 of our Terms of Service sets out.

Can you redesign our existing website?

Yes. We start from what your current site does well and how people find it today, and we plan the move so that existing links keep working and search engines can follow it.

Will our website rank first on Google?

No one can guarantee it: Google’s own guidance says so, and adds that Google does not accept payment to rank a site higher. We build the technical foundations search engines need and help you set up Search Console to see how people find you in Google Search.

Can you build an online shop?

Yes. We run our own store on WordPress and WooCommerce, and we quote a shop to your products, payment methods and delivery needs.

Can we update the website ourselves?

If your team wants to edit pages itself, tell us at the discovery call. Whether you edit the site yourselves or ask us for changes is then agreed in the written quote.

Do you meet clients in person?

Yes, if you are near Jodhpur: we can come to your office or site when you ask. Anywhere else, in India or abroad, the project runs online.
